In the 1970’s, the second generation of Harrisons, Lynn and Rod along with Lynn’s wife Jennie, became integral to the company operations. Most of the homes were built in newly developed neighborhoods of Greenwood Village and Cherry Hills Village at the time such as Greenwood Oaks, Greenwood Highlands, Greenwood Pines, Cherry Hills East, Charlou in Cherry Hills.

The 1980’s were marked by Lynn leading the business. The business focus became redeveloping older Cherry Hills Village neighborhoods by designing and building old world homes that replaced existing small homes on beautifully treed lots. Additionally, the Harrison family was very successful in the new Glenmoor golf community of Cherry Hills Village and built a good portion of the homes in that development.

In the 1990’s, under Lynn and his wife Pam’s lead, the business flourished spending several more years building out Glenmoor, Castle Pines and Highlands Ranch.  By the late 1990’s, Lynn and Pam refocused on their past success of demolishing older Cherry Hills homes and building new, old world homes. To this day, the business continues to thrive in finding the best sites and building the finest custom homes in Cherry Hills Village, Denver and Greenwood Village.

Over the last decade, presold business has become the norm for the Harrisons and the need to build spec homes has greatly reduced.

When the housing market bubble burst in 2008 and the economy dropped, the business was perfectly situated. The Harrisons were immune to the negative consequences that most of the competition suffered with speculation home inventory. During the recession, the family business became stronger and enjoyed its strongest run of presold custom homes to date. Harrison Custom Builders not only builds new luxury custom homes, they also do remodeling in both residential and commercial properties, custom rooms like man caves or special garage structures for the toys, condo and loft units.

Today, the Harrisons continue to prosper due to their continued dedication to quality and homeowner satisfaction. They are known for disciplined bidding, detailed budgets, unsurpassed artisans, project management, interfacing with engineers and architects and exceeding homeowners' expectations.

Our approach to home building is focused entirely on quality and homeowner satisfaction. We have found over the years that listening skills are critical to reaching all of our building goals. Lynn personally manages every project. We believe that building tasks and coordination between subs are best performed by the owner of the building company and this close management pays dividends over the long run.

We welcome the limited number of homes our business model creates. Our work is generally low volume, but high dollar projects. Volume building is not pursued so commitments can consistently be maintained, details can be properly executed, and clients are happy with their home. This low volume, individualized approach allows us a competitive advantage over other top builders. Our homeowners expect that every interaction will be with the owner of the company. We are consistently selected by homeowners for this reason.

Spending the majority of our time on the building site, rather than delegating homeowner management to staff, is a hallmark of our approach. The continuity of the homeowner working with the owner of the company from the beginning to the end of the project has been one of the keys to our success and homeowner satisfaction.
